Abstract

The current scenario in the field of the prevention of work accidents emerges great challenges in what concerns the phenomena that directly and indirectly affect the work of the people. Ergonomics reflects within the organizational environment, being an organizational change that concerns the conditions of work. Ergonomics has been assuming a role of great importance in the work environment, involving the relation of the man with the diverse technologies present in these environments and the necessities of quality. This article presents a study on the conceptual aspect of ergonomics and its benefits to the productive and economic environment. The objective of this article is to highlight the importance of ergonomics in the prevention of work accidents and the reflection on the reduction of costs in economy and productivity. To obtain the necessary references to the understanding of the theme, this article was based on a bibliographical research. It was concluded that ergonomics contributes significantly to productivity, product quality and / or service, and worker well-being.
