Abstract

Although MATLAB-based simulations have demonstrated significant progress in the analysis of complex industrial systems, their practical deployment in real industrial environments remains limited, mainly due to constraints related to accessibility and real-time implementation. Similar challenges are encountered when applying artificial intelligence–based control tools, particularly during the transition from modeling to real-world operation. This study overcomes these limitations by enabling direct, real-time integration of MATLAB with industrial supervisory systems through the OPC standard, ensuring reliable communication and coordination among PLCs from different manufacturers. Furthermore, the proposed framework incorporates fuzzy logic and operator decision-support mechanisms, thereby enhancing intelligent control and interactive supervision, and enabling efficient and flexible management of complex industrial processes.
