Resumen

The automotive industry has seen an increase in the popularity of electrical, fuel cell, and hybrid vehicles due to stricter limits on CO2 emissions and fuel efficiency. DC-DC converters with a high switching frequency and voltage gain are required for electric vehicle propulsion. The usage of a high gain DC-DC converter with Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) in an electric car with a fuel cell-based brushless DC motor (BLDC) is covered in this study. Switched capacitors and switched inductors are needed to obtain the high gain. The converter is easy to use because it only has one switch. Additionally, the converter's total efficiency is increased because the voltage across the switch, diodes, and capacitors is lower than the output voltage. This paper proposes a modified Voltage Multiplier Cell (VMC) with switching inductors. For fuel cells, an MPPT algorithm based on the Radial Basis Function Network [RBFN] is created to maximize power extraction at room temperature. The fuel cell-fed electric vehicle system is assessed using MATLAB/SIMULINK.
