Resumo

In this research work, buck integrated half bridge based converter for powering multiple LED lamps is proposed. There are two integrated half bridge resonant converters, and each converter drives two different lamps. The operation of each integrated half bridge converter is independent.  The power control in all the LED lamps is achieved using asymmetric duty ratio (ADR) control. The converter features distinctive advantages such as 1) four LED lamps are operated at rated illumination, 2) device switching transitions in half bridge are occurred at zero voltage, 3) the lamps in each half bridge are powered independently, 4) high energy conversion efficiency etc. The use of an LC resonant circuit in the half bridge converter enables the achievement of soft-switching, leading to improved energy efficiency in the proposed LED driver as a result of reduced switching transition power. The results of the steady-state simulation have been presented to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed converter.
