This study aims to evaluate the performance of industrial diffusion flame burners, with a particular focus on the interaction between jets and their impact on the flow field’s dynamic and thermal characteristics, flame stability, and the overall composition of the combustion products. The study investigates two industrial gas burners, each with a capacity of 250 kilowatts. Numerical simulations were conducted using the FLUENT software, employing the standard k-ε turbulence model coupled with the Eddy Dissipation (ED) model for turbulent combustion. The primary objective is to optimize burner performance by minimizing pollutant emissions while maximizing the conversion of fuel into carbon-based combustion products. Additionally, the study seeks to identify the optimal burner geometry that enhances both combustion efficiency and heat transfer. The results indicate that the structure of the flow field and the shape of the flame within the combustion chamber are strongly influenced by the design and configuration of the burner.
