Proposal for a the use of rainwater project for non-potable purposes in vertical tank

Abstract

Water is essential for human survival and also for the entire ecosystem of the planet. The lack of this precious asset will cause irreversible damage to the planet. Many countries are having various problems with the scarcity of drinking water. Some regions of Brazil are facing a water crisis of its natural resource. As an example the city of São Paulo, which recently presented a historic decrease in its reservoirs. Humanity must be aware of the importance of water and its waste. This new culture must be taken immediately, through sustainable renovation of actions to ensure the maintenance and regeneration under appropriate conditions for future generations. The objective of this article is to enable a rainwater collection system, easy to handle, practical for installation, occupying little space and economically viable for the final consumer. The materials presented in a major way was polyvinyl choride (PVC), it is a lightweight material, easy to handle, has a high durability relevant to other materials such as metal pipes and is not reagente to no other kind of material, keeping integrates water quality, without changing it. The methods applied were the steps to progress the proposed project identifying the six steps whose implementation procedures in accordance with current regulations. The expected results are presented as a contribution proposed for sanitation and environmental management, in order to enable solutions that promote the use of rainwater for non-potable purposes with storage vertical tanks for the cities that have monthly precipitation in min (60 mm).
