Analysis of production capacity in a line of zinc through process simulation as a support tool for decision making
Abstract
This article aims to conduct a study of the productive capacity of a galvanizing line in a electroplating factory of the industrial pole of Manaus (PIM). The production capacity was measured by a computer simulation performed in a virtual environment using a specific software (plant simulation) to generate a report on system performance. The materials and methods were used by computer simulation in which it was possible to identify bottlenecks, process efficiency and the daily production capacity of the Zinc bath service. The search results are open to discussions on the influence of knowledge of the installed production capacity in relation to the decision-making process of the company on the maximum achievable demand and become increasingly competitive in the global market.
