Abstract

Over time, the evolution of innovations in materials and techniques for the execution of buildings has been observed. However, any construction carried out by man must comply with the preestablished safety requirements, in the face of excessive pathologies and deformations that in the last cause the work to collapse. In this context, there was an overload in the pillars of the work Liverpool, English Reserve of the city of Manaus, and because of this, the present work aims to expose the structural reinforcement carried out in this object of study, so that it will bring more security to its users. In this way, they were made through visits and data collection, photographic records and documents as well as forms provided by the construction company. A structural reinforcement execution method was used for the abutments of this work, as well as the modeling and rupture tests of the concrete used and the reinforced abutments, and it was verified that the reinforcement was successful, since it was possible to distribute the loads previously concentrated, and provide security to its users meeting the safety criteria and current legislation.
